Pathway is delighted to announce the topic for our October Masterclass. For the first time in our Masterclass series, we will be exploring the topic of oral health and homelessness. This online event brings together dental professionals working in the field of homeless oral health. Speakers come from an array of disciplines including, public health, a peer-advocate, clinicians and academics. Oral health is a high and pressing priority for those experiencing homelessness. The impact of poor oral health and challenges to access dental services goes beyond the mouth. This masterclass aims to dive deep into these widespread impacts, what is and can be done to address oral health challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness.

Masterclass aims:
- To give an overview of the public health considerations for oral and dental health for those experiencing homelessness
- To discuss how oral health impacts on general and mental health, wellbeing and everyday living
- To present the unique aspects of providing dental and oral care for those experiencing homelessness
- To give an insight as to the different types of dental services and care arrangements available and what more is required to best meet the needs of homeless populations
- To share how best to support and advocate for improving homeless oral health
