Today, we were proud to join our colleagues with lived experience of homelessness to deliver our open letter to 10 Downing Street, urging Keir Starmer to bring an end to the inhumane and inefficient practice of discharging people from hospital to the street.
Over 1,000 medics and frontline homelessness workers are urging the government to use the upcoming cross-Government homelessness strategy, NHS 10-year plan, and next week’s Spending Review to back its own ambitions to shift care from hospital to the community with tangible investment in specialist services.
Thank you to everyone who signed the letter – your voice helped us call for the first steps toward a fairer, more effective NHS.
